A Great Iconic Jacket… The Eisenhower…
The Dickies Insulated Eisenhower Jacket is almost as iconic as much of the other Dickies workwear. It has such a long and storied history, it’s practically a workwear staple. I’ve been wearing an ‘Ike’ jacket for over 40 years, in the manufacturing industry.
It does have an iconic design, what with the slash side pockets and collar, but it’s also a sturdy and comfortable design that will stand up to work. And the insulation is also a plus. (The Eisenhower jacket used to come with insulation as an option.) So, it is a warm choice, as well.
You won’t go wrong this time-tested classic.

Inconsistent sleeve and cuff design
I recently ordered two Insulated Eisenhower Jackets, one in Lincoln Green color and the other in Mushroom color. In receiving my jackets, I noticed they felt very different. In taking a closer look, it appears that the sleeves and cuffs have a very different design and cut. I purchased them for the specific reason of having identical jackets but in two different colors. It’s unfortunate the fit isn’t consistent in the sleeves and cuffs. In reading reviews, seems there is a newer “ICONS” design and I guess I received two different version of the same design. It’s unfortunate this would happen on the same order. Customer Services states they couldn’t guarantee consistently since products are made in different locations….this was very disappointing for identical jackets in the same order!

it's good
Everything is fine, but one of the buttons on the sleeve came off; it wasn't sewn properly, and the other button on the other sleeve was a bit loose, so I had to repair it myself. However, for the next purchase, they would just need better quality control to avoid these problems. Other than that, the quality of the jacket is fine.

Needs heavy duty zipper
Great jacket gets better with time, only drawback is the zipper. Please put a heavy duty zipper on this and it would be perfect!

Solid jack for the price
This jacket is a solid buy for the price. Lightly insulated (not overly warm), it has a slightly cropped and wider shape, which works perfectly for layering a hoody underneath. The material is tough and stiff at first but feels better after a wash.

Great midweight jacket for cool days or layering
This jacket seems like good quality and made well. The insulation is thin, which is good because I did not want a heavy coat, but rather something to wear on cool days, and when riding my motorcycle around town. The only reason I took a star off is because the sleeves are a little long, and no way to tighten the cuffs to keep from sliding down.

Not your traditional, Eisenhower line jacket
I have owned several of these jackets since the 90s. In fact, a few of them I still wear regularly. The newer icon models is a departure from previous Eisenhower jackets. The fit is much larger, but even more problematic is the fact that width at the cuffs is enormously wide. I ordered a couple different jackets, both of which rise, And Howard line jackets, and both of which fit differently, even though the only difference was the color. I returned my jackets and I actually went with another company. I’m a huge dickies fan, and longtime supporter. I just don’t understand why companies continue to make changes to their products that make their products worse. The last said that I Purchased that I truly loved was in 2011. Unfortunately, Dickies will no longer be my first choice for the style of shop jacket.

Can't beat it
This jacket is about as close to perfect as it can get. It is plain and basic (that's a good thing), a good weight, nice-looking and it's comfortable, and so far it appears to be durable. A big plus for me is that it's long enough for me--I am 6'8'' tall and it's nearly impossible to find decent clothing long enough, but this fits me perfectly, and that's a rare thing. Also, I got it at a good price.
