Not the same!
"I bought a pair of these some years ago and out side of being faded the still fit very comfortably. So I decided to get two more pair and they are not the same fit. All though I do like the new elastic in the waist the shorts are now cut two high in the crotch as well as the zipper sits two high up! Seriously? WTF would you do that for? This makes them uncomfortable enough that I do not like wearing them and can't return them. Never again!"

"These shorts are the absolute BEST!! I have been purchasing a few pairs for the last several years and am sooo disappointed that it appears they are discontinuing this style due to the new version with the multi-use pocket in front. The pocket in front seems silly to me and I'm not sure why Dickies felt the need to try and correct a style that was already perfect and a timeless classic."

"Just got these regular fit charcoal shorts in 13” length. I love them! The fit is right on. I love the color and so did my GF. They are very comfortable. If Dickies had any other colors stocked in my size 50, I’d buy one of each and it would be nice if they made a khaki color. FYI, I wear them at about my navel and the length of the short is perfect for me. Hits just below the knee, but doesn’t feel too long. The regular fit makes them roomy with a sleek look. They are not baggy. Highly recommend."
